Andrew Hill, Ph.D. is a Professor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Impact at Victoria University in Melbourne. He leads a laboratory studying the role of extracellular vesicles in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and prion diseases to translate fundamental discoveries into the design of novel diagnostics for these disorders. This has included developing extracellular vesicle-based small RNA biomarkers in neurodegenerative disorders and the analysis of protein and RNA cargo from extracellular vesicles from biofluids and tissue samples. He has published over 250 publications, has an h-index of 90, and over 43,000 citations of his work (Google Scholar). Andrew has served on the Executive Board of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) since 2012, including as elected President from 2016 to 2020. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Extracellular Vesicles and is Editor in Chief of the Journal of Extracellular Biology.
