Abdallah Elias, MD, FACMG, FAAP, FAAFP​

Dr. Abdallah (Abe) Elias is Chief Medical Officer and Genomics Laboratory Director at Shodair Children’s Hospital. He serves as adjunct associate professor in the department of pediatrics, University of Utah, and as clinical faculty in neurosciences at the University of Montana. A native of Germany, he graduated from medical school at the University of Freiburg where he also trained in pediatrics before coming to the United States. He first came to Montana as intramural scientist working on the molecular genetics of Lyme Disease at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, a branch of the National Institutes of Health (NIAID, NIH). After a residency in family medicine at the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls, he completed a residency and fellowship in medical genetics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is boarded in family medicine and medical genetics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Medical Genetics and Genomics, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Family Practice.
