Chris Booth, Ph.D.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Chris brings a strong foundation of academic and business knowledge and experience. He has over 15 years of research experience in various areas, including extracellular vesicles, cancer, regenerative medicine, neuroscience, and cellular signaling, which has given him a deep understanding of biological processes and how to develop and translate this information into innovative technologies for medical applications.

He has made multiple contributions to the study of extracellular vesicles and their role in cancer and stem cells, gaining a deeper understanding of these tiny particles and their potential as hosts of biomarkers for diagnostic applications. Chris is leading the charge in the development of innovative technologies and tools at FYR to better understand extracellular vesicles and how to utilize them to impact human health.

Chris’s extensive academic background and research experience, combined with his passion for innovation and commitment to developing technologies to improve human health, make him an ideal candidate to lead FYR Diagnostics. Moreover, his entrepreneurial spirit and experience in working with multiple startups in the past, assisting with leadership and business development, makes him well-equipped to guide FYR’s success.

Outside of his time at FYR, Chris enjoys being very active across multiple disciplines, including Rock Climbing, Ice Hockey, Trail Running, and Cross-Country Skiing. He also enjoys traveling to new places and enjoying delicious food.
